Rear End Accident Caused by No Turn Signal (Douglasville)
On June 25, 2021, Officer E Rosario was dispatched to the scene of an accident at the intersection of Tara Boulevard and Flint River Road.
The accident occurred at 09:45.
Ms. C Zachery was driving a Chevrolet Avalanche 4S, Mr. J Braland was driving a Chevrolet Silverado TK, and Mr. R Samples was driving a Ford 150 Supercrew TK.
All three vehicles were traveling north on Tara Boulevard when they were involved in a collision.
Ms. Zachery stated that she was driving behind Mr. Braland’s vehicle when Mr. Braland applied his brakes without warning.
Mr. Braland made a right turn without signalling into 8633 Tara boulevard, which is the premises of AA Professional Bail Bonding.
Ms. Zachery applied her brakes but could not avoid rear-ending Mr. Braland’s vehicle.
Mr. Samples was traveling behind Ms. Zachery when he saw her apply her brakes.
Mr. Samples could not apply his brakes in time to avoid rear-ending Ms. Zachery’s vehicle.
Ms. Zachery’s and Mr. Braland’s vehicles sustained light damage and were removed by their respective drivers.
Mr. Samples’ vehicle sustained extensive damage and was removed by Tara Wrecker.
None of the drivers sustained serious injury but Mr. Samples’ passenger complained of a slight injury with cuts and bruises to her arm.
No medical treatment was administered.
The weather, surface conditions and light were all good.
The accident was reported in Jonesboro, Clayton County.
