On June 8, 2021, Officer S Hutchins was dispatched to the scene of an accident on the North Clayton Street at the railroad tracks.
The accident occurred at 16:40.
Mr. B Dean was driving a Kia Forte and Ms. J Wilson was driving a Honda Civic.
Ms. Wilson stated that she was crossing the railroad tracks on North Clayton Street.
Mr. B Dean’s vehicle swerved into her lane of travel and side-swiped her vehicle, causing damage from the driver’s door to the rear of the vehicle.
Mr. Dean left the scene of the accident without stopping.
Several people who witnessed the accident and assisted Ms. Wilson testified that the vehicle that collided with Ms. Wilson’s vehicle was a white Kia Forte.
This vehicle continued east on North Clayton Street.
Mr. Dean was identified and cited in terms of O.C.G.A. 40-6-270(b) “Hit and run” and O.C.G.A. 40-6-48 “Failure to stay in lane”.
Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and Ms. Wilson’s vehicle was removed by Lance Wrecker.
The weather was cloudy, and surface conditions and light conditions were good.
The accident was reported in Lawrenceville, Gwinnett County.
