On July 12, 2021, Officer A Moore was dispatched to the scene of an accident at the intersection of Veterans Memorial Highway and East Courthouse Square.
The accident occurred at 12:30.
Ms. J Swilley was driving a Chevrolet Equinox and Mr. C Loyd was driving a Chevrolet Cruz.
Ms. Swilley stated that she was crossing the railroad tracks to get onto Veteran’s Memorial Highway and thought that Mr. Loyd’s vehicle has moved forward.
Mr. Loyd stated that he had stopped his vehicle to yield to right of way traffic after crossing the railroad tracks when he felt his vehicle being rear-ended.
Mr. Loyd’s vehicle sustained slight damage and no damage was sustained by Ms. Swilley’s vehicle.
Both vehicles were removed by their respective drivers.
Neither driver reported any injuries.
The weather was cloudy, and the surface condition and the light condition were good.
The accident was reported in Douglasville, Douglas County.
