On March 15, 2021 Officer K Chambers was dispatched to the scene of an accident on Veterans Memorial Boulevard west of Atlanta Highway.
The vehicles involved were a Chevrolet Colorado Z71 driven by Mr. R Hutchinson and a Freightliner Cascadia 125 heavy-duty semi-trailer truck driven by Mr. S Bryan, belonging to North Cherokee Electrical.
Mr. Bryan was stopped in eastbound traffic on Veterans Memorial Boulevard. Mr. Hutchinson exited the parking lot of Lakeland Plaza which intersects with Veterans Memorial Boulevard. This exit is on an incline grade and he was unable to see the trailer of Mr. Bryan’s vehicle. As Mr. Hutchinson entered the traffic, he collided with the rear of Mr. Bryan’s truck.
Mr. Hutchinson’s radiator and engine were damaged, but no damage was caused to Mr. Bryan’s vehicle.
Neither driver was injured or cited.
The incident was reported in Forsyth County.
