Backup Blunder on I-985 SB Off-Ramp

A backup collision occurred on the I-985 Southbound off-ramp at Phil Niekro Blvd in Flowery Branch on June 12, 2026. Jose Fuentes Arqueta, 26, in a 2011 Toyota Tacoma was backing up after yielding to an emergency vehicle when he struck Giles Willis, 34, in a 2025 Honda CR-V. Minor damage to both vehicles. No injuries reported.
