DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED LEADS TO ACCIDENT (FORSYTH)

On April 28, 2021 Officer B W Abanto was dispatched to the scene of an accident at Howard Road north of Lummus Road.


A Lexus LS 460 driven by Mr. M Brodsky and a Toyota Sequoia driven by Ms. S Macias were involved in a collision.


Mr. Brodsky was traveling north on Howard Road south of Lummus Road when he lost control of his vehicle on the curve and drove into oncoming traffic. His vehicle collided head on with Ms. Macias’ vehicle.


Mr. Brodsky admitted that he was traveling too fast.


He was cited in terms of O.C.G.A. 40-6-391 (A)(2) “Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicating substances”, O.C.G.A. 40-6-48 “Failure to Maintain Lane”, O.C.G.A. 40-6-180 “Driving Too Fast for Conditions” and two counts of VGCSA possession schedule 1 16-13-30 (B)(5) “Purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution, or sale of controlled substances or marijuana”.


The weather and surface conditions were good, and the light conditions were “dark, not lighted”.


The accident occurred at 20:57 and was reported by the Forsyth County Police Department.
