On November 29th, 2024, Paul Markham and Samuel Miller were involved in an automobile accident on Earney Rd near its intersection with Hickory Flat Highway.
Miller was traveling westbound on Earney Rd and approached the intersection. As he approached the intersection, he yielded to a nearby emergency vehicle. Markham was traveling northbound on Hickory Flat Highway. Markham did not yield and was distracted by the emergency vehicle. The front of Markham's vehicle then collided with Miller's vehicle. Markham stated that when he attempted to yield to the emergency vehicle, when he looked up again his vehicle was striking Miller's car.
Both vehicles sustained disabling damage from the accident. Markham was cited with distracted driving.
