On May 25th, 2024, Steven Hicks and Patrick Jones were involved in an accident on Dallas Highway at the intersection of Midway Rd.
Hicks was turning northbound across the intersection from Dallas Highway to Midway Rd from the left turn lane. Hicks stated that the light was turning yellow, and he tried to quickly make it through the intersection. Hicks' vehicle was struck by Jones' car and spun around in the road. Jones continued off the embankment after the collision and struck a tree. Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene.
Hicks was found at fault and cited with failure to yield while turning left and child safety restraint violation.
