On July 14, 2021, Officer K V Murphy was dispatched to the scene of an accident at Wade Green Road south of Wooten Lake Road.
The accident occurred at 21:48.
Ms. N Buettner was driving a Honda Acura ILX and Mr. A Fucia-Porter was driving a Dodge RAM.
Ms. Buettner was turning right out of a private parking lot southbound onto Wade Green Road.
She stated that she did not see any vehicle headlights and assumed it was safe to turn into the roadway.
As she did so, she saw Mr. Fucia-Porter’s vehicle swerve in an attempt to avoid colliding with her vehicle.
Mr. Fucia-Porter stated that he was traveling southbound on Wade Green Road when Ms. Buettner’s vehicle pulled out in front of his vehicle.
Mr. Fucia-Porter further stated that he attempted to avoid colliding with Ms. Buettner’s vehicle but was unable to do so.
Neither driver sustained any injury.
The front bumper of Ms. Buettner’s vehicle was dislodged but was able to remove her vehicle from the scene.
Mr. Fucia-Porter’s vehicle sustained moderate damage with a flat front tire and passenger side tire, and liquid leaking from the motor, but he was able to remove the vehicle.
Ms. Buettner was cited in terms of O.C.G.A. 40-6-73 “Failure to yield right of way”.
The weather was cloudy, surface condition was good, and the light condition was dark: lighted.
The accident was reported in Cobb County.
