On March 10, 20212 Officer D E Trail was dispatched to the scene of an accident at 3002 Atlanta Road southeast, south of Concord Road.
An Audi A5 Prestige driven by an unknown person was traveling south on Atlanta Road southeast at high speed. On reaching the intersection with Concord Road, the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The vehicle jumped the curb, landed in the parking lot of 3002 Atlanta Road southeast, and collided with a gas pump #12 at a BP gas station at that location.
The driver vacated the vehicle and fled on foot.
The vehicle was towed from the scene by Barrows.
The weather and surface conditions were good, and the light conditions were “dark, lighted”, at 02.29 when the accident occurred.
The accident was reported at Smyrna, Cobb County.
