Left Hand Turn on SR-14 Causes Accident (Union City)

On November 7th, 2024, Cedric Giles and Fredis Molina were involved in an automobile accident on SR-14 in Union City, GA.


Giles stated that he was making a left hand turn from the eastbound turning lane on SR-14. He advised he had a flashing yellow light and was trying to make the turn when he noticed Molina's vehicle approaching from the number 1 lane. Giles stated then his car was struck by Molina's in the rear right side, causing his vehicle to flip over and he became pinned inside the car. Giles stated then kicked out the windshield to escape from the vehicle. Molina stated that as he approached Giles' vehicle, he tried to slam on the brakes but could not stop in time.


Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Giles was found at fault for the accident and was cited with Failure to Yield.
