Rear Ending Accident Caused from Brake Failure

On June 22, 2021, Officer S D Trull was dispatched to the scene of an accident at the intersection of Ernest Barrett Parkway and Cobb Place Boulevard.

The accident occurred at 13:56.

Ms. S White was driving a Toyota Avalon and Ms. L Burrage was driving a Lexus RX 350.

Both vehicles were traveling east on Ernest Barrett Parkway approaching Cobb Place Boulevard.

Ms. White stated that she saw the traffic stopped but when she attempted to apply her brakes, the vehicle did not stop and she rear-ended Ms. Barrage’s vehicle.

Ms. Barrage stated that the vehicle in front of her had slammed on brakes and she was also able to stop, but was rear-ended by Ms. White’s vehicle.

Ms. White stated that she had just had work done on her brakes earlier that day and produced the receipt.

Ms. White complained of injury but advised she would seek her own medical advice.

Ms. White’s vehicle sustained moderate damage and was removed by Kennesaw Wrecker.

Ms. Barrage’s vehicle sustained slight damage and she removed her own vehicle.

The weather, surface condition and lighting condition were all good.

The accident was reported in Cobb County.
