Stop-Sign Blunder at Paces Ferry & I-285

A rear-end crash occurred on Paces Ferry Rd at the I-285 exit ramp in Cobb County on October 24, 2025, around 11:59 AM. Katherine Whisnant, 34, told police she stopped at the stop sign but then rolled forward, unaware of stopped traffic ahead. Her Kia struck Benjamin Huntington’s Tesla.

Huntington, 37, was fully stopped when hit. Moderate damage to both vehicles; no injuries among the six occupants.

Whisnant was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign (O.C.G.A. § 40-6-72) by Cobb County PD.
