On May 24, 2021, Officer L Clark was dispatched to the scene of an accident on Mars Hill Road east of Cobb Parkway.
The accident occurred at 12:25.
Ms. A Brandsma was driving a Jaguar VDP and Ms. P Walls was driving a Lexus RC300.
Both vehicles were in the left turning lane on Mars Hill Road to turn into Cobb Parkway northbound.
Ms. Walls vehicle was behind Ms. Brandsma’s vehicle.
Both were waiting for the red light to change green.
Ms. Walls stated that she gave herself enough time to stop, but when she attempted to engage the brakes, they did not work.
Her vehicle bounced several times as she attempted to stop but her vehicle hit Ms. Brandsma’s vehicle, causing slight damage to both vehicles.
Ms. Walls was named at fault for the accident but was not cited.
The weather, surface conditions and light conditions were all good.
The accident was reported in Acworth, Cobb County.
