Per Lawrenceville Police Department, Eduardo Lozada-Ramos of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Joshua Smith of Gainesville, Georgia, were involved in an accident on October 20, 2022.
Lozada-Ramos was traveling westbound on West Pike Street when he struck Smith's vehicle, who was traveling eastbound, in a near head-on angle. After the impact, Lozada-Ramos fled the scene with Smith giving chase afterwards. An officer who was on the scene then observed Lozada-Ramos running a red light at the intersection of Old Norcross Road before running into a median. His car was disabled and one of his tires were blown out.
Lozada-Ramos was found to be at fault, intoxicated, and was arrested at the scene.
