On April 26th, 2024, Marianne Mcclure and Carlos Silva were involved in an accident on Town Lake Parkway near I-575 in Cherokee County.
Both vehicles were heading east on Town Lake Parkway towards the I-575 southbound exit ramp. The ramp was undergoing construction and was partially blocked off by cones and a patrol car with its lights on.
When the vehicles approached the ramp, a 3rd unknown driver hit their brakes to a full stop in an attempt to merge onto the ramp. Silva was able to stop in time, but Mcclure was not and hit the rear of Silva's vehicle causing functional damage to both cars. Mcclure was cited with following too closely.
