According to Suwanee Police Reports, James Johnson of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and Johnny Garcia of Duluth, Georgia, were involved in an accident on January 16, 2023.
Both vehicles were in adjacent turning lanes on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road preparing to make a left-hand turn onto I-85 on-ramp. Johnson told the officer that the car in front of him abruptly stopped and made a U-Turn. This caused Johnson to veer to his right and strike Garcia's vehicle in the lane next to him.
Johnson was determined to be at fault for failure to maintain lane and was issued a warning.
